Every session with Studio R Photography is designed to feel relaxed, personal, and meaningful. From our first conversation to the final images you receive, the experience is centered around storytelling—capturing real moments, genuine connections, and the emotions that make your story uniquely yours.
Before your session, I take time to get to know you—your vision, your personalities, and what matters most to you. This allows me to approach your session with intention and care, creating an environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Rather than stiff poses or forced moments, I gently guide when needed and allow your story to unfold naturally.
During your session, my focus is on documenting the in-between moments—the laughter, quiet connections, and authentic interactions that often become the most meaningful images. Whether I’m photographing a wedding, family milestone, portrait session, branding shoot, or special event, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel honest, emotional, and timeless.
After your session, your images are carefully curated and edited in a clean, natural style that preserves the integrity of the moment. The result is a collection of photographs that don’t just document how things looked—but tell the story of how it felt.

From First Hello to Final Gallery
STEP 01
It all begins with a conversation. Share a little about your family or child session through the inquiry form, and I’ll be in touch to answer questions, confirm availability, and help you choose the session that best fits your story.
STEP 02
Once booked, we’ll plan the details together—from location and timing to outfits and expectations. You’ll receive guidance every step of the way so you feel comfortable, prepared, and excited for your session.
STEP 03
On session day, your only job is to be yourselves. I’ll gently guide when needed while allowing real moments, natural interactions, and genuine connection to unfold. Sessions are relaxed, playful, and focused on capturing what makes your family uniquely yours.
STEP 04
After your session, your images are carefully curated and edited in a clean, natural style. Your final online gallery will tell a cohesive story—one you can revisit, share, and cherish for years to come.
How do I book a session?
There are two ways to book a session with Studio R Photography. First, you can send me a message with as many details as possible, including the type of session you’re interested in, your preferred location, and the overall vibe you’re envisioning. Second, if you already know what type of session you’d like, you can visit the Book a Session page and select one of the available packages.
All session requests are subject to photographer approval to ensure availability and avoid overbooking. Once your inquiry or booking request is received, I’ll be in touch within 24–48 hours to confirm details.
After confirmation, a booking link will be generated to reserve your date. This link is valid for three days, during which time your requested date will be held for you. If the booking is not completed within that three-day window, the date will be released and may become available to other clients, which could result in losing your preferred date.
Once your session is officially booked, we’ll schedule a time to connect—virtually or in person—to go over all the details and plan your session with intention and care.
How far in advance should I book a session?
Some people have booked as far as two years in advance, while others book last minute. Please allow at least one week in advance for your session. However, if it is a last-minute, must-needed session, contact me and I will see what can be done to fit you into my schedule!
How long does it take to get our photos?
It depends on the time of the year. During the holiday season, I can have as many as 6 mini sessions in one day. My goal is to always get my clients their photos within a week or two. I post my editing queue on my Facebook page, so you can always check to see how many people are ahead of you. In my contracts, I guarantee a maximum of 90 days.
How will I receive my photos?
Your photos will be delivered to you in a private online gallery via my website. From the gallery, you will be able to view, share, and download high resolution files. All galleries require a password so that it is secured. Only you and those you share the gallery with will have access to it.
Am I allowed to print my photos or share them on social media?
Absolutely! 100% yes! There are no restrictions on print sizes and all watermarks will be removed. When sharing on social media, I just ask that you credit Studio R Photography somewhere to help spread the word about my studio.
What type of equipment do you use?
I shoot with a Canon full frame mirrorless camera and an Olympus mirrorless camera. I have a variety of Canon, Tamron, and Sigma lenses as well.
How much editing / retouching do you do?
All photos are edited for color, contrast, style, and exposure. For some photos, a light filter will be applied to add to the vibe of the picture. Heavy facial retouching, wrinkle removal, or body reshaping are not applied to the photos.
Do you instruct for posing?
Most of us aren't models and it is sometimes hard to find the right pose. I will provide direction on posing where needed so that your photos don't look stiff or posed. Additionally, I will also provide images with sample poses. I have used these during my mini-sessions and have had a lot of positive feedback from clients.
Will my photos show up on your website or social media accounts?
As a photographer, it is important for me to show off my work to attract new clients and to keep my portfolio current. If you feel comfortable, I will share your photos on my website and social media accounts.
Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured.
What is your backup policy for photos?
Once a session is completed, all photos are immediately downloaded and backed up onto three external hard drives. All of the hard drives are kept in fireproof box.
What is your rescheduling policy?
Life happens! You can absolutely reschedule your session if one of us becomes ill, the weather isn't on our side, or something unexpected comes up! I do ask that a reasonable amount of time is given -- usually 24 to 48 hours.
Do you work with videographers?
At this time, Studio R Photography does not offer videography as an add-on service. However, I’m always happy to share recommendations for trusted videographers I’ve worked with and confidently refer.
I regularly recommend Carlo Deconza of Deconza Productions and Tom Riccobono, both of whom bring a thoughtful, professional approach to storytelling that complements the Studio R Photography style. If you’re interested in videography, I’m happy to pass along their information so you can connect directly to discuss availability, coverage, and details.
While videography is booked separately, these referrals allow you to work with experienced professionals and create a well-rounded team for your day.
Do you charge for travel?
Yes. For any location that is more than 50 miles from the Pocono Mountains, there will be a $1 fee for each mile. For example, if your location is 75 miles from the Pocono Mountains, you will have an additional $25 fee.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, credit cards, PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, and CashApp. Unfortunately, due to issues in the past, I cannot accept personal or cashier's checks.
Do you have payment plans?
I understand that everyone lives on a budget and paying in full or even two payments may not work for everyone. Since everyone's situation is different, I create payment plans based upon my client's needs and finances.
Do you offer discounts or sales?
For my prints, I will have a few sales throughout the year. For sessions, I try to have at least one discount offer per season. However, during the holiday season, I often hold mini sessions at local business, such as the Paradise Lavender Farm in Cresco or Regina Farms in Marshall's Creek. I consider these special sessions and offer them at a discounted rate as compared to a typical mini session.
Can I purchase prints of photos in your portfolio?
Yes! A curated selection of fine art images from my portfolio is available for purchase through Echoes of the World, my dedicated print shop. Echoes of the World features landscape, nature, and artistic photography created outside of client sessions and offered as high-quality prints designed for homes and creative spaces.
Availability may vary by image, and new work is added regularly. If you’re looking for a specific photograph, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to help.
