It is hard to believe that five years ago, Studio R Photography was just a dream.

Five years ago, a friend and I had an idea. We dreamed of having a photography studio, a creative space where memories could be captured, milestones could be celebrated, and stories could be told through photographs. After some much-needed planning, ideas, and a whole lot of hope, that dream slowly became what is now Studio R Photography.

Fast forward to the holiday season of 2021, when we hosted our very first Christmas mini sessions. Those sessions were the beginning of something truly special. They were filled with excitement, learning, holiday magic, and the realization that this little dream had the potential to grow into something much bigger.

Although my friend did not stay on as co-owner due to personal reasons, I continued forward with Studio R Photography on my own. What started as an idea between two people became a business that I poured my heart into, building it piece by piece into what it is today.

In 2021, I also met Daniel Ferron, our character actor for the studio. From that meeting came so many magical creations and unforgettable sessions. Together, we have brought Santa, the Grinch, the Easter Bunny, Uncle Sam, the Cat in the Hat, and so many other characters to life for families, children, pets, and the community. Daniel has helped add something truly unique to Studio R Photography, and I am so grateful for the creativity and magic we have been able to create together.

Over the years, Studio R Photography has also had the joy of partnering with wonderful businesses and organizations throughout our area. From sessions at Paradise Lavender Farm to Regina Farms, to our meaningful collaboration with AWSOM Animal Shelter, these partnerships have allowed us to create beautiful images while also giving back. Our work with AWSOM has been especially close to my heart, as we have been able to use photography to help support shelter animals and bring awareness to a cause that means so much.

One of the greatest gifts of Studio R Photography has been the clients who have become friends. So many people have started as a name on my calendar and have become familiar faces, loyal supporters, and people I genuinely look forward to seeing year after year. I have had the honor of watching families grow, children reach new milestones, couples begin new chapters, and pets return for more portraits. Those connections have become such a meaningful part of this journey, and I am so grateful for the trust, kindness, and friendship so many clients have shared with me.

Studio R Photography has also opened doors to opportunities I never imagined when this dream first began. Through photography, I have had the chance to photograph celebrities on the red carpet and experience moments that felt truly surreal, including meeting Fran Drescher and Shaq. Those experiences are reminders of just how far this journey has taken me, from local studio sessions to exciting events and unforgettable encounters.

Another incredible milestone was having the honor of being named a finalist in the 2025 Poconos Community Choice Awards. To be recognized by the community in that way meant so much, especially after years of growing, learning, and putting my heart into this business. I am also so excited and grateful that Studio R Photography is on the ballot again this year, and I cannot thank everyone enough for continuing to support and believe in this dream.

Studio R Photography began as an on-location-only business, traveling to clients and capturing memories wherever the session took us. In 2024, another major dream came true with the opening of our first physical studio location on Ann Street in Stroudsburg. That space gave Studio R Photography a home. It became a place for creativity, celebrations, seasonal setups, portraits, and countless memories. Since then, we have grown again, moving into our current studio location in Scotrun, where the dream continues to expand.

Through all of life’s changes, Studio R Photography has been a constant in my life. It has been with me through happy seasons, challenging seasons, and everything in between. It was there through a breakup, which ironically happened in my studio. It was there through a car accident and the loss of my car. It has been there during moments when life felt uncertain, reminding me that creativity, purpose, and community can carry you through more than you realize.

This business has introduced me to so many incredible people in our community. It has helped me form connections I never would have had otherwise. From studio sessions to on-location portraits, from weddings to milestone celebrations, from pet sessions to community events, and from photographing memories to teaching photography classes, Studio R Photography has opened doors I never could have imagined five years ago.

Every family, couple, child, graduate, pet, business owner, student, and client who has stepped in front of my camera has been part of this journey. Every session has helped shape Studio R Photography into what it is today.

Five years later, I look back with so much gratitude. Gratitude for the people who believed in me, the clients who trusted me, the businesses who welcomed collaborations, the community that supported me, and the dream that never stopped growing.

Studio R Photography has become more than just a business. It has become a creative home, a source of purpose, a place of connection, and a reminder that dreams can grow in ways you never expect.

Thank you for five wonderful years of memories, magic, milestones, and moments.

Here’s to Studio R Photography, five years strong, and to many more beautiful years to come.
