Well… we made it.
The Christmas photo season is officially wrapped, tied with a bow, and gently placed on the “please don’t move this again” shelf.
Hi, it’s me — Shutter Sprout, your loyal studio elf, senior gift-sitter, mug-lounger, and unpaid intern with a camera. As we roll right into Christmas, I thought I’d share a few final observations from the tiniest (and most overworked) member of the studio team.
First of all:
I have sat on a lot of presents. Wrapped ones. Stacked ones. Ones with bows bigger than me. I’ve learned that if you sit very still on a gift and look official enough, people assume you belong there. Pro tip.
I’ve also spent quality time inside a giant mug of holiday cheer. No, it wasn’t cocoa (HR rules). Yes, it was cozy. And yes, I supervised gingerbread friends, peppermint pillows, and candy-cane architecture like a true professional. If OSHA inspected, I’m confident we’d pass.
This season included:
🎅🏼 Approximately 4,000 smiles
📷 More camera clicks than I can count (and I can count pretty high for an elf)
🎁 Endless magic
🎶 A suspicious amount of holiday music stuck in my head
☕ Zero actual coffee breaks (rude)
I watched families laugh, pets strike poses (some willingly, some… not), and memories get frozen in time — which is honestly way cooler than the North Pole. The humans worked hard, the lights sparkled, and somehow everything came together beautifully… even when I accidentally tipped over a bow. (Allegedly.)
Now, as the last sessions wrap up and Christmas arrives, I’ll be hanging up my camera strap, stretching my tiny legs, and preparing for my next assignment: post-holiday napping.
From my perch on the presents to yours at home — thank you for an incredible season filled with joy, warmth, and moments worth remembering. If you see a tiny elf relaxing quietly somewhere in the studio… just know I earned it.
