There’s a beautiful new trend I’ve been seeing this summer—and I am here for it! More and more families are choosing to document their vacation memories by booking a professional photo session while they’re away. And let me tell you, it’s been such a joy to capture these moments for families visiting the Pocono Mountains.

So far this season, I’ve had the honor of working with two amazing families who made the Poconos part of their summer plans—and decided to make their time here even more memorable with a photo session.

First, I met Chad and his wonderful family, who traveled all the way from Michigan. They were enjoying a peaceful mountain getaway and decided to take advantage of the scenery with a photo session. Luckily the rain held up for most of it! Their love, laughter, and laid-back vibe were such a pleasure to capture. You’ll see a few of their portraits featured throughout this blog—they were just glowing with that “vacation happiness” we all love.

I also had the privilege of photographing Erinn’s large and incredibly loving family—16 people in total! They came from several different states to celebrate a truly special occasion: her parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. While we’re keeping their photos private out of respect for their wishes, I can tell you it was a heartwarming session filled with stories, smiles, and a lot of laughter. Being part of that celebration was such an honor.
